FirstNet® MegaRange™ improves connectivity and throughput of data services to our cellular towers using specialty devices. It can boost cellular transmission strength by up to 6x, so FirstNet subscribers can maintain critical connectivity throughout more of their areas of operation than ever before. FirstNet is the only network that affords public safety the ability to take advantage of the highest power available with Power Class 1 High Power User Equipment (HPUE).

FAQs
Do other carriers offer MegaRange (HPUE)?
No, other carriers can only broadcast at a max of 0.2W. FirstNet MegaRange(1.25W) is an exclusive offering for Band 14.
Do I need specialized equipment to use FirstNet MegaRange?
Yes, HPUE is only available on the Nextivity MegaMobile, MegaFixed, and MegaGo.
What bands does FirstNet MegaRange work on?
HPUE only works on Band 14. Nextivity MegaMobile, MegaFixed, and MegaGo will also work on other bands, however they will only broadcast in Power Class 3 (0.2W) on other bands.
Does MegaRange work anywhere FirstNet has Band 14 coverage?
Yes, including all 50 states, DC, PR, USVI, and territories.
Do I need any other equipment with MegaRange?
Nextivity MegaMobile & MegaFixed are only modems. Some customers might also need an external antenna or wireless router. Phones connected to these Wi-Fi routers can use Wi-Fi calling to take advantage of the extended range.
Do any external antennas work with MegaRange?
Only certain compatible antennas work with MegaRange. Contact your FirstNet Sales Consultant for a list of certified antennas for MegaMobile for your vehicle. MegaFixed & MegaGo are bundled with their own antennas.
